“Great Spot! 2 minute drive to amenities as well as the national park yet perfectly situated on the outskirts of town so as to not feel crowded. Beautiful views and comfy, well appointed bedrooms - I would highly recommend!”

“If you are looking for a comfortable place to stay while visiting Joshua Tree NP, the Ol' Desert Hideout is your spot. You can tell a lot of care went into making sure visitors have a positive experience while vacationing at the Hideout. This property is located at the end of the dirt road which meant that noise and light pollution are very little. At night you can grab blankets, head to the carport and check out the stars/shooting stars and comets that may fly by. During the day you have enough covered seating that you can comfortably sit outside during the middle of the day and not worry about becoming overheated by the desert sun. In the evening you can go to the hot tub and watch the sunset. All I can say is the owners did a mighty fine job of making sure their property gives you a wonderful experience while visiting 29 Palms/Joshua Tree. I will definitely rebook this location again.”

“Ol’ Desert Hideout is an absolute gem! I was looking for a getaway to decompress and the Hideout was exactly what I needed. Last house on the street with the desert mountains as your backdrop. The house was comfy decorated great and had everything we needed for the weekend. It was decorated super rad and all the outside hangout zones were awesome, there was always a shady spot to relax and enjoy the quiet serene desert. At night you get to enjoy so many stars and can do so in a hot tub which rules, you know I’m right! Communication was easy and I can’t wait to come back. If your looking for a place to relax and feel creative I recommend!!!”
