The living area is a perfect blend of comfort and elegance, with 16-foot accordion sliding glass doors that open up to the pool area, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. Cozy up by the gas fireplace and enjoy the serene ambiance. A large smart TV mounted over the fireplace and fresh popcorn from the popcorn machine makes for the perfect movie night. A large vinyl collection for the record player, surround sound music and Sonos Move portable speakers gives you a variety of ways to set the mood. The open-plan design connects the living room to the fully stocked kitchen, making it ideal for socializing and relaxation. If you're really feeling yourself, we have a karaoke setup that you just might have to pull out and showcase your entertainment skills.

The kitchen is truly the heart of the home, and our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals. Modern appliances, ample counter space, tons of spices and cooking oils and a variety of cooking utensils are at your disposal. Enjoy your meals indoors or step outside to the outdoor dining area. Here, you'll find Flypaper Sal's Saloon, an outdoor bar adorned with charming bistro lights. This special space is a tribute to the owners' late wife and mother, adding a touch of heartfelt warmth to your stay.

-Bedrooms & Bathrooms-
The butterfly floorplan of the house - bedroom suites on each wing of the home - features two beautifully appointed bedrooms:

Primary Bedroom & Bathroom: This spacious room boasts a king-size bed, a private desk to work from home, a large walk-in closet, sliding glass doors to the pool area and an attached bathroom suite with a luxurious soaking bathtub and large shower.

Second Bedroom & Bathroom: Also equipped with a king-size bed, this bedroom has a closet and dresser for clothing storage and sliding glass doors to the pool area as well. The second bathroom is in the hallway just outside the second bedroom and features a unique highlight: an atrium walk-in shower with a skylight and overhead plants, creating a refreshing and natural showering experience.

Additional Sleeping Arrangements: There is a queen air mattress and a twin rollaway bed, if you need additional sleeping arrangements.

-Outdoor Oasis-
The outdoor amenities at Hidden River Retreat are designed for ultimate relaxation and enjoyment. The in-ground pool and spa beckon for refreshing dips and moments of relaxation, while taking in the incredible sweeping views. A gas fire pit off the pool area is the perfect area to swap stories while watching the sunset. The courtyard with Flypaper Sal's Saloon is perfect for BBQ and evening drinks under the bistro lights. The handmade stone woodburning fireplace is the perfect place to swap stories while stargazing. Outdoor daybeds, yoga areas complete with mats, and a telescope are all available for guests to use as well.

Hidden River Retreat is ideally located for exploring the wonders of Joshua Tree National Park. Whether you're hiking, rock climbing, or simply taking in the breathtaking desert scenery, you're just a short drive away from the park's main attractions. Additionally, the nearby downtown Joshua Tree, Old Town Yucca Valley, and Pioneertown all offer quaint shops, restaurants, bars, cafes, music and local art for you to enjoy.

A SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT OUR PET POLICY: Dogs under 25lbs are welcome but you must pay a non-refundable pet fee of $50 before your arrival. We allow dogs (under 25lbs) but no cats are allowed due to the owner’s allergies. We love our dogs and would love yours too if we met them, however we would prefer they not be allowed on the furniture or the bed. We understand that if your dog is used to being on your furniture or sleeping with you in your bed, it would difficult to break them of that habit while here at The Outside Inn. We have a large blue blanket in the bathroom closet that should be used to cover surfaces your dog may sit on. Please use this for your dog, as it will help cut down on fur and desert dust ruining the furniture and linens in the house. It will also prevent the leather couch from being scratched. If we have to pay for additional pet cleanup or damage to the furniture and bedding after your stay, it will be withheld from your deposit. Please clean up the immediate area surrounding the house of all pet droppings before you leave. Do not leave the dog unattended at the property or allow your pet to disturb the peace with excessive barking.
